St. Louis County, Missouri real estate 2011 reassessments are due in the mail this month. Given that the residential, commercial and agricultural real estate market has not improved and that, despite such facts, assessed values are likely to increase, real estate tax appeals are very likely to be significantly higher this year than in past years (and justifiably so), which means a busy next six-twelve months for the St. Louis County Board of Equalization and Missouri State Tax Commission.
July 11, 2011 is the deadline for filing your property assessment appeal forms with the Saint Louis County, Missouri Board of Equalization. An attorney is highly recommended for real estate assessment appeals.
